The only glitch was the wrong product was shipped to me. They did acknowledge the error and shipped the correct product. I did have to ask for a return shipping label to return the wrong order , as they did not offer one. They were responsible for return shipping according to their policy, It all worked out fine.

The LG LT600P filters the water and ice from your fridge dispenser. Its current LG part number is 5231JA2006F. It replaces earlier versions 5231JA2006A and 5231JA2006B, and it is the same filter as the LT600PC. If your fridge uses any of these, this is the right filter.

Check before buying. Newer LG models often use different filters. If your manual calls for an LT500P, LT700P, LT800P or LT1000P, this filter will not fit. What Does This Filter Reduce?
The LT600P is tested to NSF/ANSI Standards 42 and 53. Standard 42 covers aesthetic effects such as chlorine taste and odor. Standard 53 covers certain health-related contaminants. Retailer and LG materials list reductions for chlorine, particulates, lead, mercury and cysts, plus some pesticides and herbicides.

How to Install the Filter
Filter location varies by model, so check your manual first.

Turn the old filter counterclockwise a quarter turn and pull it straight out. Water shuts off automatically.

Push the new filter in until it stops.

Turn it clockwise a quarter turn until it locks.

Run water for about 5 minutes to flush the filter. Discard this water.

Reset the filter indicator (hold the filter reset button for a few seconds; see your manual).

When Should You Replace the Filter?
