How to Install the Filter

1. Find the filter housing (usually the upper right corner inside the fridge).

2. Turn the old filter counterclockwise and pull it out.

3. Remove the protective cap from the new filter.

4. Insert and push in, then twist clockwise until it locks.

5. Run water through the dispenser for about 3-5 minutes to flush air and carbon dust.

6. Reset the filter indicator (most Frigidaire panels: hold the filter reset button for about 3 seconds).

When Should You Replace the Filter?

Replace it every 6 months or after 200 gallons, whichever comes first. Replace it sooner if:
